Last post for tonight..

I'm no longer at the hospital, but I snapped a few more pics before I left. I know Lindsay and Johnny will be wanting to get some rest pretty soon.
What a great day with such a smooth delivery. Lindsay has alot to be proud of!!
Keep them in your prayers tonight for an easy first night with the baby.

Here are some pics of Baileigh, I appologize in advance if I put up any duplicates! There are just so many good ones I don't want you to miss. I went back through my pics and tried to put up any I missed before.

Finally the hard work is done and Miss Baileigh is here..

They were giving Baileigh a physical and checking her out head to toe!

Here she is after she had her first shots :(

This is Lora, Lindsay's amazing birthing coach. I know Lindsay mentioned several times that she couldn't have done it without her! She was wonderful :)

And here I am with Lindsay and Baileigh. Hope you enjoyed the updates, I sure enjoyed being a part of it! :)

I may try and stop by the hospital tomorrow to grab a few more pics if I can :)

Sweet Girl

She did a great job nursing and now she's getting in some cuddle time with the grandparents. She is really a pretty baby! Just perfect!

Lindsay is feeling great and enjoying the success of her natural birth. She really was a trooper and worked hard. She is just getting over some chills that had her feeling bad, but other than that, everything is wonderful.

Lindsay and Johnny and all the grandparents are so thankful for your prayers.

Baileigh Gray

More pics..

Baileigh is working on her first meal, but here are a few pics to hold you over :)

Video of Baileigh to come :)
It's a little hard to get good pics right now, but I'm working on it!
The internet keeps giving me trouble, but it seems to be back and working!

She's here!

19 1/2 inches long

She's Beautiful!

Pushing!!

The doctor is here and she's started pushing! Pics coming once Baileigh's out!!

Come on Doc!!

Lindsay is having an extremely intense urge to push. I just heard that Johnny has actually seen the head. We've got her in the tub trying to keep the baby in, but it's becoming really difficult not to push. Pray that the doctor can get here so we can get lil' Baileigh out!

They have everything ready to go and Lora is about to help her into the bed.

Lindsay is doing awesome, and she has kept to her plan for a natural birth :) Yay!

She's a 10!!

They're calling for Doctor Ferguson, it's time to getta' pushin'!!

Get those refresh buttons ready, I really think it's gonna go quickly!

Really moving now!

They just sent for the nurses because Lindsay is feeling a strong need to push. Cervix is being checked now, but we might be really close!!

In the tub...

Just got approval to get Lindsay into the tub for awhile. It's really helping her through the contractions. The nurse will be back in about 15 minutes and we'll hopefully finally have an update on her progress.

Moving right along..

Here's a pic of Johnny and Lora helping Lindsay through with some massage and breathing. She's doing great, but the pain is getting really intense.

We still haven't heard any updates from the Doctor, but Lindsay's contractions are getting stronger and closer together. She's handling the pain very well with the help of Lora.

She is going to try getting in the tub for awhile to help manage the pain.

Here's the Daddy to be doing some foot massage..

Hospital Update!

Okay sorry for the delay!

I am here at the hospital now so the updates should be pretty consistent.

Here's how the day has gone so far:

They started the pitosin around 12-12:30 and her contractions are finally starting to pick up. At 2:00, she was dilated to a 3. We're hoping to have her checked again soon to see her progress.

Contractions are about 3 minutes apart, but are occasionally coming closer together so things are really picking up!

I'll let you know what we find out when they come in next to check her :)

Funny Story..

Just got off the phone with Lindsay. She was telling me that last night/this morning she was having some cramping and early labor signs. She went ahead and tried to get some sleep until the morning. Well, this morning when she called Dr. Ferguson to let her know what was going on (and find out what happens now since it's Friday!?!), the doctor asked why she wasn't already at the hospital. Apparently, it had already been arranged for Lindsay to be induced this morning, but somehow the girls at the office never told Lindsay. Basically a big misunderstanding that ended with Dr. Ferguson telling Lindsay to head to the hospital and she would let them know she was on her way.

Lindsay is of course feeling a little anxious, but very excited.
I'm sure it will take time to get her all registered and to get the medicine started.
I will head to the hospital around 3:00 and hopefully by then, things will be moving along with the pitosin (sp?).

Until then, I will only update if Johnny calls me with important news.

It's TIME!!!

I just heard from Lindsay and they are on their way to the hospital to induce. She had some signs last night of early labor so hopefully her body will respond well. Please keep them in your prayers for a healthy and safe birth and new baby!!

I will be trying to keep this updated with any changes and will head up to the hospital later on to get you a sneak peek of Baileigh once she's here!!

YAAAAAYYYY!!!

Full Term plus 3!!

Baileigh has been enjoying her cozy home in her mommy's tummy and is taking her sweet time coming out!

Here's what Lindsay found out at her Doctors appointment today:

As most of you know Lindsay's weight has been on the low side for her whole pregnancy. She found out today that she actually lost 5 pounds since her last visit.
She had an ultrasound and they saw that Baileigh is measuring at exactly 7 lbs. so the added weight loss hasn't affected her one bit. Yay! She seemed healthy and Lindsay had plenty of fluid left to support the baby post term. Baileigh was face up this morning, but they're hoping she will turn in time for the delivery. All in all everything looks great. The Doctor wants to postpone an induction until Friday since Baileigh seems in great shape for a natural birth. Dr. Ferguson doesn't think they will need to intervene at all and really thinks we will be seeing Baileigh before Friday.

Lindsay is ready to meet her little girl, but overall feeling good and comfortable. She is thankful for a good report today at the hospital and happy to know she will be seeing her baby by Friday!

Latest Update..

At Lindsay's appointment this morning, Dr. Ferguson said that she is still at 1 cm dilated. Her cervix is softening so it seems her body is beginning to prepare for labor. Since her due date is January 23, they are going to give Baileigh the rest of the week to come on her own. If she isn't here by Lindsay's appointment on Monday morning, the 26th, she will be scheduled for an induction. Since Baileigh already found her way to the birth canal quite a few weeks ago, Dr. Ferguson is anticipating things to move pretty quickly once Lindsay's body begins labor! They will be doing an ultrasound on Monday to check the babies condition...

Keep checking back! It looks like she will be here by early to mid next week if not much sooner!
